Plate and Frame Filter Cloth

Plate and frame filter cloth is installed between the plates and frames of a filter press. Liquid passes through the cloth while solids are retained to build a filter cake. Cloth construction affects filtrate clarity, cycle time, cake moisture, release performance and the risk of leakage around the plate pack.

The cloth pattern must match the plate dimensions, feed-eye position and fastening method. Material and weave selection depend on the slurry chemistry, temperature, particle size, desired flow rate and cleaning method. The most suitable cloth is therefore selected from process and equipment data.
